Title: Let's Just Be Right

Being right - there's been a lot of times where we thought we were right, but we were headed in the wrong direction.

Ever been there?

The thing that should set us apart is we believe God is right. 'The ways of the Lord are right.' It's not necessary for us to understand us, but God is right.

If we are going to be right - we must be born right. It's not sufficient just to be born once. We are born sinners.  All have sinned. The second birth is important. John 3

Genesis 24:48

'God led me in the right way'

I Samuel 12:23 - 25

...but I will teach you the good and the right way...

If there's a right way, there's a chance there's a wrong way

God led them forth by the right way - you have to be born right, but you also have to live right. The worst mistake you can do, is not have anything planned is to turn them loose. You need a family is to keep you right.

We are to live right - how are we to know?

God gave us the Bible - it tells us in all aspects of life. We are so determined to ignore what God says. The Bible tells how to treat each other. Be kind to each other.

You need to die right. II Tim 4:9

Demas forsook God and so did Samson

II Tim 4:6

We need to be right with other people.

Title: Gideon

Gideon had a faith problem - he just needed encouragement. The battle was already won - because God said it. What Gideon needed was confidence in what God said - not our feelings. When God says to go, we ought to go. What God was fixing to do, Gideon laid out his questions for assurance. He was outnumbered 450 to 1...Whew!

The Lord knows u - He knows we lack faith. And He knows we need encouragement.

Source of encouragement - Music, the Bible

God was gonna give encouragement from the enemy.

God can work in spite of our weaknesses, limitations, and disabilities. "Everything I have, God's got it"

We worry too much about what we can't do, than what we CAN DO

Verse 15 - He worshipped God.

In life, you can have a lot of problems. But if you trust God, He will calm your fears. Every 'Christian' should be able to tell somebody else, just do what I can do.' ~ Bro. Marlon

Jesus left an example for us, and be an example for other people coming along. We need to be careful who we follow. **Who do I follow??

Timing was wonderful. Three companies split apart. "The sword of the Lord and of Gideon"

'And they stood every man in his place' - Everybody was convinced to do their job in their place. If every Christian would just step up and do their job in their place, they would be undefeatable.'

Pitchers make a great picture of us. The last thing you would carry into battle in your pitches. It couldn't be of any use unless it was broken. Our will must be broken - and once it's broken it shows commitment, no turning back and it had to be empty - empty of ourselves and filled with the Holy Spirit.

Title: The Spirit of a Man

"The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?"

Broken spirits - Exodus 7

Pharaoh's heart is hardened - he refuses to let the people go...(hmm some people refuse to let the past go)

Who was Pharaoh? The most powerful man in the world!

At some point, someone broke that boy's/girl's wounded spirit. The most wise man said we cannot bear a wounded spirit - not even the person whose spirit has been wounded.

Exodus 8:15, 9:7

Pharaoh hardened his heart again...

Exodus 9:12
The Lord hardened his heart [difference]

You can get so hardened that God will harden your heart.

LET IT GO.

Let's pray that it doesn't get to the point that the Lord hardens your heart.  Exodus 9:35

The Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart.

When your heart gets hardened, something has to happen for your heart to get softened again.

We go to God when we have a broken spirit.

We need to be the most forgiving people that ever stepped on this earth.

"Casting all your cares upon Him, for He careth for you."

You've got to cast it on Him and LET IT GO.

Psalms 91:14

How do we get rid of a broken spirit?  God's love

Go treat your enemies well.

Proverbs 3

God can take care of all the broken spirits in this room tonight.

It started when God began to bring me to being alone. No one to support me, and everyone turned against me that God begin to do these things into my life. GOD IS SO GOOD. Even in those dark times He has a purpose for us that we cannot see. It's when we get quiet & still and KNOW THAT HE IS GOD, that He can finally reveal His purpose to us.  Just like when I have to get my arms around my kids, to get them to listen & realize who's in full control, I believe God does the same things with us.  He puts His arms around us, and waits for us to stop trying with our own efforts and release it to Him. It's when we get quiet & still, and stop the freaking out, complaining, moaning, groaning, unbelief, and simply TRUST HIM.  I will list sermons that God used to speak to my situation in my following blogs starting with the first one that delivered me from depression.

This is my story & my testimony and I will share it as long as God gives me the opportunity to point my hands, feet, eyes, ears, to Him!!

I was severely depressed for a long, long time. I turned to psychologists, counselors, parents, friends, & other family, co-workers for answers. Books. I didn't turn to the Bible or Jesus. It wasn't until I turned to God out of desperation for help that God turned my depression around.

28 days straight has not been completely successful...but I did spend time with God this morning...and the song I woke up to was:

"Revive us again, fill each heart with thy love, may each soul be rekindled with fire from above, Hallelujah, Thine The Glory, Hallelujah Amen, Hallelujah Thine The Glory Revive Us Again!"

It seemed so fitting since last night I asked God for a personal revival in my own heart and that I be made right with Him.

Thank you Jesus for the time I was able to spend with You this morning! :)
